With heavy hearts, the Blanchette family announces the passing of Gisèle Blanchette at her home on April 28, 2020. Lifetime best friend, confidante and wife of 56 years to Gerry (Gérard) Blanchette. Loving and devoted mother to Marc (Rachelle) Blanchette, Lianne (Roger) Blanchette-Giroux and Joanne Blanchette. Proud grandmother of Nicole Blanchette and adoring great-grandmother to Sylas Violette. Daughter of Rose-May (Dupuis) and Leon Beaudry (predeceased). Loving sister to Geatan (Helen) Beaudry, Louise (Rick) Smith, Diane (Brian) Thibault. Aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews, whom she loved a lot. Gisèle was an elementary school pre-kindergarden (pré-maternelle) teacher for the French Catholic School Board for 35 years. She had great enjoyment, being a part of shaping young minds and enjoyed every single year she worked. She will be greatly missed by many!
